How it started

Hi! I’m Archie the hedgehog, and LateNightLaws’ mascot. My hooman and I, we’re both nocturnal. So while she’s busy deliberating at night, she’d like me to do something better than chew on wood chips… and so.. she’s arranged for me to tell you the story of how LateNightLaws started…

LateNightLaws started in March 2020, when the writer in a state of restlessness amidst the Movement Control Order, accidentally spent USD72.00 for the upkeep of this blog.

From there, LateNightLaws became a means to address the conflicts and hypothetical conflicts we face as “non-essential” Malaysian citizens and seeks to indulge readers in some of the discussions we secretly desire.

About the Author

Amanda Pang is a serial overthinker and progressive who enjoys challenging the system.

By trade, Amanda practices as an advocate & solicitor at Messrs Amanda Pang & Yee, a partnership law firm in Kuala Lumpur.
